Healthcare professions implement most change projects in medical facilities since they provide care to the patients (Lavelle et al., 2015). On the other hand, the project will be impacted negatively by the reluctance of healthcare providers to implement the proposed hand hygiene measures during patient care provision. Donors will also impact the project positively by providing the required financial resources. However, they can hinder this project if they fail to approve the requested funds.
Additionally, external stakeholders, including patients, suppliers, and the general public, will positively and negatively influence the proposed project. Policy-makers will positively impact the project if they approve it as a reliable, evidence-based practice incorporated into clinical practices to reduce HAIs. However, they might fail to approve the project making it hard to implement it in the healthcare organization. Moreover, the suppliers will benefit the project by delivering the required resources, including soaps and hand sanitizers, on time. Nonetheless, they might pause a challenge by delaying the deliveries, thereby compromising the implementation process. Finally, the external trainers will benefit the project by educating healthcare practitioners on implementing the proposed intervention. On the other hand, they will pause a challenge to the proposed project if they fail to equip the healthcare professionals with the required knowledge and skills.
