Patient improvement strategies in the clinical or practicum setting are key in solving identified care environment problems that hinder the effective delivery of care or that endanger patient safety in the care environment (Reis et al.,2018). collaboration can be used towards advocating for such practice-improvement strategies. One of the collaboration methods I could use in such cases is enabling effective communication. Effective communication is enabled by establishing appropriate communication channels and ensuring that the channels remain open. Through open communication, the stakeholders involved in the practice-improvement strategies can come to cooperate and work as a team to ensure that a proposed improvement strategy or intervention is successfully implemented (Rosen et al.,2018). This strategy has been shown to be efficacious and widely applied not only in clinical or practicum settings but also in other industries. Effective communication also ensures that information is timeously communicated and that decisions are made in time for better goal achievement.
Another strategy I could use is offering leadership skills. Leading from the front and showing other staff members why an aspect needs improvements is key to ensuring that they support the idea. Such a step is likely to lead to a collaboration that will ensure that a practice-improvement strategy is successfully implemented (Arnold & Boggs, 2019). Leadership aspects that can be used in such cases include transformational leadership aspects that inspire other team members to actively participate and achieve their full potential for the sake of implementing the quality improvement strategy. Offering appropriate leadership skills as a collaboration skill can also help in aligning the goals of the practice-improvement strategy to those of the organization, hence making the leaders offer their full support.
